The First Tee of Phoenix.
In the Spring of 2006 John’s life was forever changed by two significant events……a major career change and a 6 month old named Joshua Hill (John’s Great Nephew) whose young life would forever impact John’s.
By the time Joshua turned 2, he had become an integral part of the Trojan Household. He was spending more and more time with Uncle John and Aunt Kathy as Uncle John was spending great amounts of time building his new Real Estate business niche marketing himself into the world of Golf Real Estate.
As a consequence, Joshua and Uncle John spent most evenings after dinner together on the practice range. Joshua was an eager learner who grew and got better every year as a golfer and as a respectful, kind young man.
John made a decision to apply to become a Volunteer Coach with the First Tee of Phoenix as a means of giving back for all the blessings he had received from the Coaches of his youth. Times were different then, the baseball fields and hockey rinks were always busy with youth programs and caring Coaches. Joshua was John’s perfect opportunity to give back.
Today Joshua is a respectful, polite 13-year-old who continues to love the game of golf and to excel in school plus he continues to learn at the Tucson First Tee as well as the San Joaquin First Tee in Sacramento.
John continues to mentor the youth of The First Tee of Phoenix whenever he is asked to assist at the Schools or the Junior Golf Tournaments.
