Central Scottsdale is the area between Chaparral Road and the Central Arizona Project Canal with its share of championship golf courses, fine shopping, and luxury resorts. There are several diverse Arizona home communities in Central Scottsdale, and it is considered a community of fine living.
You can find golf course homes & lakefront homes, horse properties, condos, and patio homes – all with swimming pools, lush vegetation, and the Arizona sunshine. Central Scottsdale is dominated by three master-planned communities built in the 1970s and 1980s. For lower-priced resale homes, look west between Scottsdale Road and the Phoenix border, remodel, and still live in one of Arizona’s most desirable communities.
The Scottsdale Airpark is at the forefront of driving the local economy. The executive airport, hub to the Warren Buffet Company Net Jets, is surrounded by an industrial airpark home to dozens of young, hip companies: China Mist Iced Tea, JDA Software, and exotic sports car importers.
Central Scottsdale, Arizona, is home to the upper-middle-class. Retirees still flock to South Central Scottsdale to live in planned unit developments, although fewer and fewer every year. Horse enthusiasts are holding onto their traditional properties, despite almost total build-out.
